As the General Manager and COO of Wayside Garage, Sabrina is the driving force behind our "Customer-First" operations. A Monterey native who literally grew up in the bays of this shop, she now oversees the entire facility with a focus on psychological safety and technical excellence.

Sabrina uses her ASE Certification and decades of hands-on experience to ensure our team delivers on our promise of transparency. She specializes in refining our diagnostic processes so that every customer receives a clear, honest roadmap for their vehicle’s health—ensuring nothing is over-explained and nothing is overlooked.

Outside of her leadership role, Sabrina is a renowned vintage Bronco enthusiast. Whether she is managing shop operations or navigating a daily drive in her personal restoration project, her "mighty" work ethic and commitment to the Monterey community remain her top priorities.

Jonathan

Jonathan has always had a natural curiosity for how things work. After beginning his career maintaining complex machinery at a local golf course, he quickly discovered that fixing machines was more than just a job—it was a passion. This drive led him into the automotive industry, where he initially specialized in the precision engineering of European and import vehicles.

Since joining the team at Wayside Garage, Jonathan has expanded his expertise to include domestic, hybrid, and electric vehicles. He is an ASE Master Technician and holds the prestigious Advanced Level L3 Certification as a Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Specialist. This elite achievement places him in the top 1% of automotive technicians nationwide who are formally certified to handle the complex high-voltage systems of modern EVs and hybrids.

Known for his upbeat personality and commitment to quality, Jonathan takes great pride in providing transparent, expert care. He stays at the forefront of industry advancements to ensure that every driver—whether in a classic import or a modern electric vehicle—receives the highest level of service and technical clarity.

Sam

With over 40 years of hands-on experience, Sam is a cornerstone of the Wayside Garage legacy. His journey began in the family garage, where he learned that automotive repair requires as much care and precision as it does technical skill. Today, as a co-owner, he uses that lifelong passion to lead our facility and ensure every vehicle is treated with the same attention to detail he gave his first engine teardown.

Sam is an ASE Master Certified Technician of 25 years and holds extensive General Motors and Toyota certifications. In his current role, he provides vital technical support and facilities management, ensuring our shop stays at the cutting edge of repair technology. Whether he is performing a complex diagnostic or personally driving a customer home in our shuttle, Sam’s "customer-first" mindset is the heartbeat of our operations.



When he isn’t mentoring the team or maintaining our Seaside facility, Sam is an avid outdoorsman. You’ll often find him rock crawling in his Busted Knuckle Off-Road Buggy, camping, or hosting our signature Friday team BBQs. His commitment to family—both his own and his team at Wayside—is what drives his dedication to keeping your family safe on the road.

Stacey

For 40 years, Stacey has been the heartbeat of the Wayside Garage legacy. Having learned the business side-by-side with her father, she has spent decades refining her passion for transparent customer education. Stacey is an ASE Certified Service Consultant with specialized certification in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair, giving her the unique ability to translate complex mechanical data into clear, simple terms for her clients.

As Owner and COO, Stacey has been recognized as a 2024 Ratchet + Wrench All-Star Award finalist and was recently named to Marquis Who’s Who for her significant contributions to the automotive industry. Her leadership extends beyond the shop as a board member for the Monterey Peninsula College Automotive Technology Program, where she helps shape the future of automotive service in the Monterey Bay area.

Stacey’s mission is to move the industry away from high-pressure sales and toward a partnership based on trust and preventative care. Whether she is managing the shop’s growth or mentoring her team, her focus remains on providing the Seaside community with the psychological safety and expert guidance they deserve.

Alan

Alan brings decades of precision-focused experience and specialized technical knowledge to the Wayside Garage team. With a distinguished background in transmission repair and specialized Chrysler dealer training, he has established himself as a premier ASE Master Certified Technician on the Monterey Peninsula.

Alan is among an elite group of professionals representing the top 1% of technicians nationwide who hold the ASE L3 Advanced Level Certification for Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Specialists. Beyond his technical mastery, Alan is a passionate advocate for the future of the automotive industry. As a dedicated mentor at Wayside Garage, he plays a vital role in passing on his deep diagnostic skills to the next generation of technicians, ensuring our shop’s legacy of excellence continues.

Known for his genuine care for both the vehicles he services and the people who drive them, Alan embodies our mission of transparent, expert-led repair. His ability to solve complex mechanical puzzles while maintaining a focus on customer safety makes him a vital pillar of the Wayside Garage family.

Marcus

Marcus is a true master of automotive evolution, with a career spanning the transition from classic carbureted engines to today’s sophisticated electronic systems. As a Senior Diagnostic Specialist, he brings a rare level of mechanical intuition to Wayside Garage, specializing in the intricate needs of older and vintage vehicles.



An ASE Certified Technician, Marcus is dedicated to the "lost art" of mechanical tuning while staying at the forefront of modern smog and emissions compliance. He believes that every car has a story, and he uses his decades of hands-on knowledge to provide the clear, honest guidance owners need to keep their classics—and their daily drivers—dependable for years to come.

Marcus’s passion for engineering extends far beyond the service bay. When he isn’t at the shop, he can be found restoring vintage Schwinn bicycles, racing high-performance RC cars, or maintaining his own collection of classic Datsuns. His meticulous attention to detail in his personal hobbies is the same standard of care he brings to every customer’s vehicle.

Abraham

Raised at the iconic Esalen Institute in Big Sur, Abraham grew up with a deep appreciation for community, integrity, and the natural world. With a degree in Biology and Psychology from UW–Madison, he brings a unique scientific perspective to Wayside Garage. He treats every vehicle diagnostic like a science—combining logical problem-solving with a genuine understanding of the person behind the wheel.

Abraham’s career has been defined by leadership and education, having served as a high school science teacher, football coach, and surf instructor. This background makes him a master at "transparent education," helping our customers understand the why behind their car’s needs without the pressure or jargon.



A proud father of two, Abraham values curiosity and hard work above all. Whether he is explaining a complex engine repair or hosting the local radio surf report, he leads with heart and a commitment to helping his neighbors on the Monterey Peninsula make informed, confident decisions about their safety.

KC

KC’s journey in automotive repair began at the age of eight, working side-by-side with his father in the family garage. Those early lessons in mechanical precision evolved into a lifelong mastery of the trade. Today, as a Senior Technician at Wayside Garage, KC specializes in the foundational mechanics that keep vehicles dependable—ensuring that every repair is performed with the same care he would give his own family’s car.

A true outdoorsman, KC’s approach to his work is defined by the same "do-it-right" philosophy he brings to his favorite pastimes of hunting, fishing, and BBQing. He believes that clear communication is just as important as a sharp wrench; he takes the time to ensure every customer understands the status of their vehicle so they can drive away with total peace of mind.

For KC, the motivation behind every diagnostic and repair is his wife and son. Understanding that his neighbors are also driving their worlds around the Monterey Peninsula, he leads with heart and technical expertise, bringing a smile—and a sense of safety—to every person who walks through our doors.

Jacob

Jacob brings a unique blend of automotive passion and technological expertise to Wayside Garage. As a key leader in our high-tech facility, he specializes in translating complex vehicle data into clear, actionable information for our customers. He believes that a well-informed driver is a confident driver, and he takes pride in ensuring every visitor feels guided rather than pressured.



A true local, Jacob grew up in Marina and spent his youth on the baseball fields of Marina Pony Baseball and Marina High. This deep connection to the Monterey Peninsula fuels his commitment to providing honest, legacy-quality service to his neighbors.

When he isn’t helping the shop run smoothly behind the scenes, Jacob is a devoted dog dad to his playful Frenchie, Otis. Whether you have a question about your car’s latest digital health report or just want to talk local sports, Jacob is always ready with a smile and a "customer-first" perspective.

Brandon

Brandon’s journey with Wayside Garage began as a client, giving him a firsthand understanding of the psychological safety that comes with trustworthy auto care. Today, as part of the family—married to our eldest daughter, Samantha—he has spent the last four years bringing a high-end hospitality mindset to our operations.

With a background in the elite golf industry, Brandon specializes in the "Customer-First" experience. He manages our shuttle and concierge services, ensuring that your day remains uninterrupted while your vehicle is in our care. As our final quality control specialist, Brandon is the last set of eyes on every vehicle, ensuring that our legacy of excellence is maintained for every neighbor who trusts us with their keys.



A proud local athlete in the adult softball league, Brandon leads with a helping hand and a genuine smile. His commitment to the family business is driven by a simple goal: making sure every client feels like part of the Wayside family.

Tony

With over a decade of high-level automotive experience, Tony is a vital specialist at Wayside Garage known for his precision and accountability. He brings a diverse technical background to our team, specializing in advanced diagnostics, suspension systems, and high-performance brake repair. Tony also provides our shop with specialized expertise in both gasoline and diesel vehicles, ensuring that our neighbors with heavy-duty trucks receive the same "customer-first" care as our compact car drivers.

Having held previous leadership roles in the industry, Tony understands that true automotive authority is built on integrity and communication. He treats every vehicle with meticulous attention to detail, viewing himself as a guardian of the customer’s safety. JOSE

Jose brings a steady, reliable approach to the Wayside Garage team, specializing in the essential services that keep your vehicle safe and efficient. With a deep focus on precision brake service, fluid maintenance, and comprehensive vehicle upkeep, Jose takes immense pride in the "foundational" repairs that prevent larger, more costly issues down the road.

Known for his quiet dedication and consistent work ethic, Jose embodies our mission of dependability. He views every oil change and inspection as an opportunity to ensure a neighbor's vehicle is road-ready and reliable. His commitment to lifelong learning means he is constantly evolving his skills to meet the high technical standards of our Seaside facility.
